In 1973, when Norm Roth and John Brodak invented the
first
exciting edition of Replay Baseball, it was an instant hit! Sports gamers
young and old were hooked. Replay Games of Carmichaels, PA recruited a
loyal following of fans who appreciated the unique qualities of this game: the
splendid interaction of offense and defense on each play; its blend of fast play
and detail; and above all, the feel of real baseball.
In 1991, Norm and John moved on to other endeavors.
During Replay’s off seasons, I couldn’t help but wonder how many other Replayers
longed for its comeback. So in 1998, I began gathering other sports
gamers’ input. It didn’t take long for me to know I had to revive this
great game. With a lot of work and a lot of help from some great people,
the release of our first yearbook, 1998, was a big hit for Replay Publishing of
Ohiopyle, PA. Replay was back!
Since then, we’ve updated the look and added some new effects and details to the
baseball game, while still maintaining its excellent playability. We’ve
welcomed back many original Replayers, and are meeting many new gamers who are
experiencing Replay for the first time with this
New Edition. Check out
our customer testimonials here.
But that's not all. Replay fans asked for it, and they
got it! In 2003, we released the brand new
Replay Basketball Game and its
accompanying yearbooks, thanks to collaborative efforts with Dave Loparco.
