2012-13
Season e-Yearbook
The 2012-13
season was a great year to be a pro hoops fan, from a competitive regular
season to an exciting postseason!
In the Atlantic Division, it was all about New York, as the Knicks won the
division and a move to Brooklyn rejuvenated the Nets, while Boston looked
long in the tooth. Indiana returned to the top of the Central with a new
cast, while the defending champs in Miami scorched their closest division
rivals in Atlanta by 22 games.
In the Northwest Division, Oklahoma City outlasted a gritty Denver squad. In
the Pacific, this time it was the "other" LA team, the Clippers, taking the
division crown. And in the Southwest, the old pros in San Antonio continued
to defy age as they survived a challenge from Memphis.
In the postseason, Miami survived a battle with Indiana to reach the Finals
while the Spurs roared through the West en route to their date with the
Heat. The final series was as good as expected, with an aging surperstar
willing his team toward an improbable title before the league MVP stepped up
his game to keep the crown in South Beach.
