Deadball
Decades Yearbook
The
second volume in our series of memorable teams from baseball
history now comes as pre-cut cards! This yearbook includes 16 of the most famous teams from the early
years of 'base ball' from 1900-1919, when strategies like the bunt, the
steal and the hit-and-run were in use as in no other time in history. These
were the days of iron man pitchers throwing everything from fastballs to
spit balls and scuff balls, and teams played in huge ballparks compared to
today's fields. These factors helped make runs--especially via the long
ball--hard to come by, so this set provides a fascinating contrast to
today's high-scoring slugfests. Relive these early years of the sport with
some of its legendary teams and stars, some whose records still stand today!
We've included ratings for every player with at least 30 AB or 20 IP from
each selected club (including many individualized pitcher hitting ratings),
along with our exclusive team stats/lineup cards, team capsule summaries
written by Replayers, and our optional ballpark effects. Here’s the lineup
of teams:
