"First, the presentation of the game is first rate. The game charts are nice and the individual books containing the team ratings for each season are easy to use and also contain a nice short description of each team's success or failure for that year. The game itself is well thought out. You can tell the designer has put some years into developing it. The rules are easy to understand, and it did not take long to get a game going. I really like the rating system for players. The game incorporates individual players wonderfully. One thing that impressed me about the game is that luck, while playing a part, is really defined by how good or bad the players are. Most big plays are going to come as a result of a great player, not because you rolled a certain lucky number multiple times. The 'game on the line' and variable ratings for players add a lot to the game. They really help define a team and its players strengths and weaknesses in game defining situations. I like this game very much, and would definitely recommend it!"

Yours is among the best football simulation games I've ever played because it allows for so many variations on each play. As I turn the pages, I imagine the play unfolding in my mind. Basing many play results on the abilities of offensive linemen, not just the skill position players, is a great touch of realism missing in most other games. In SECOND SEASON, one never knows on any given play which player or group of players, offense or defense, will influence the outcome. Depending on the defense called, the location of the ball on the field, the quarter, the same dice roll for any given play will provide a different result. That unpredictability is what makes me coming back for more and what makes playing the game so enjoyable."
